  3. Rules for HOLY_BIBLE_FCS Echo

  8. We may need to do some modification on these....I welcome suggestions, although
  9. I reserve the right to not use them..<G>

  11. The HOLY_BIBLE_FCS (False Christian Scum) echo is an echo formed to
  12. enable those who have had their access cut from the HOLY_BIBLE echo
  13. to continue their debates and defend themselves from the posts made
  14. to them and about them after they have been labeled "False Christian
  15. Scum" and had their access cut to the HOLY_BIBLE echo by the moderator
  16. of that echo, and for the discussion of the "teachings" as presented
  17. in the HOLY_BIBLE echo.

  19. All are welcome here, but I would ask that all participants remember the
  20. purose of the echo, which is the theological debate, not personal
  21. attacks.  With that, on to the rules:

  24.                    RULES FOR HOLY_BIBLE_FCS ECHO
  25.  
  26. 1.  No profanity.  No name calling.
  27. 2.  Keep the discussions on topic.  If you want to discuss the personality
  28.     of the HOLY_BIBLE moderator, this is NOT the place to do so.
  29. 3.  You may want to provide Scriptural references to back up your statements.
  30.     Accurate translations are preferred, not the paraphrased ones.
  31.     Please state which version you are quoting from, ie: KJV, NIV,
  32.     Jerusalem Bible, etc....please avoid The Living Bible and other
  33.     paraphrased versions, as accuracy of translation can be lost,
  34.     however, if you do quote from one, please identify it as such.
  35. 3.  Crossposting from the HOLY_BIBLE echo may be done.
  36. 4.  Keep quotes to the minimum necessary to make your point clear.  This is
  37.     a subjective issue, so I will be pretty flexible on this one, just
  38.     try to keep in mind the LD costs involved in transport.
  39. 5.  The moderator reserves the right to change and modify these rules as
  40.     time goes on, as necessary.  Ample warning will be given on any
  41.     rule changes to ensure everyone has had the chance to be informed.
  42. 6.  If the moderator is wrong on a Scriptural point, by all means tell me.
  43.     I am not perfect.  We will have a good fight over it before I cut
  44.     your access (that's a joke, ok?)

  46. If you have any suggestions for improving the echo, please feel free to
  47. make them (NO, I will NOT ban Steve Winter from participating if he
  48. wants to, the echo is open to any who can discuss in a civil fashion);  I will
  49. consider them, but reserve the right to not use them if I don't feel
  50. they are in line with what I want the echo to ultimately be.
